We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting the NHS and UK Government's ambition to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Our organisation is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, in line with national targets. We also support the NHS Net Zero ambition, including interim milestones to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030, with continuous reductions thereafter. As a predominantly remote service, our operational carbon footprint is low; however, we take proportionate steps to minimise emissions through remote working, digital systems, reduced travel, and responsible use of resources. We also consider environmental sustainability when engaging suppliers and contractors.
This commitment is reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with NHS England guidance and best practice and to support continuous improvement as our organisation develops.
